Jim Duggan – Pastor, Teacher, Encourager
Jim Duggan was born in the quiet town of Sandersville, Georgia, and here in Macon. From an early age, he was nurtured in a Christ-centered home, educated in a Christian school, and deeply rooted in a vibrant, gospel-preaching church.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University in 1987, followed by a Master’s Degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1997. Along the way, he married the love of his life, Andrea Johnson, on October 26, 1991. Together, they’ve been blessed with one daughter, Rebekah, now a young adult.
Jim began his ministry journey serving in youth and music roles before sensing a clear call to the pastorate in 1986. Since then, he has shepherded six churches across Georgia, and for over a decade, he has faithfully pastored Bellevue Baptist Church in Macon.
Outside the pulpit, Jim enjoys cooking, writing, reading, and browsing the internet. He’s also an avid sports fan and a devoted follower of the Atlanta Braves and Liverpool FC soccer team.
