▻ EFFECTIVE power → the capability to bring about a result
▻ DIVINE power → salvation is God’s work. There is no other way.
The WORK of the Gospel
▻ “...for (into) salvation...” → our greatest need ⇒ deliverance
▻ deliverance from and deliverance to
▻ failed substitutes: money, power, knowledge, possession, popularity, etc.
The EXTENT of the Gospel
▻ Specific in its effect → “to everyone who believes...”
▻ Universal in its application → “to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
▻ The Kingdom of God is made up of all kinds of people.
🗝 APPLICATION:
❑ Recognize the need both personally and universally → SIN is the problem
❑ Believe in the only solution, Jesus
❑ Be thankful for your own salvation
❑ Lovingly live in and stand for the Gospel
